I am going to try any experiment for the next few weeks. I am going to try to place my websites highly on non-Google search engines. Has anyone else tried this? My theory is that you can build and run a home based business based ENTIRELY on free stuff from the web.  Not only does this include free infroproducts (maybe a future blog will list my favorite websites for free eBooks and eCourses), but free software.  I just came across a free piece of software that I usually end up just PLAYING with as much as building websites!

Well, it’s 2008, and - like probably everyone - I’m making my resolutions.  This year, I’m going to follow the advice of most “self-help” guides and set set goals instead of resolutions.  I am also going to REALLY use Simpleology as my daily planning guide.  If you don’t know what Simpleology is, check it out.

Over the last year, I signed up for many many lists, and picked up many useful products and items.  I haven’t focused on my own home based business as much as I wanted to, so I have not yet made the shift from “nice second income” to “primary income.”  This is one of my goals for 2008.

So I decided to review the stuff I downloaded, and the sites I’ve joined.  My purpose was to decide which ones to keep and which ones to implement immediately.  I was AMAZED when I found several products that were I had downloaded months ago that could solve problems I have right now!  Problems like keyword research and traffic conversion.  There are the answers, right in my “Internet Marketing” folder on my desktop!

So here is Goal #1: Read the manuals and TAKE NOTES into a separate file.  I am creating my own “step by step” program that works for me, and my goal is to add the notes into that particular program.

Another thing I discovered was that I had joined the (awfully named, in my opinion) Operation Black Box.  Not so great name - GREAT site! First of all, it is offering “charter” memberships - that’s FREE.  Second of all, it offers over $10,686.84 worth of educational and marketing products - and it’s for REAL!  For example, the PRODUCTS DOWNLOAD sections lists 9 Steps (from “Laying The Foundation” to “Enjoying Your New Riches With A Healthy Personal And Social Lifestyle”).  STEP 2 - Virtual Real Estate has 15 products! And many of the products can be resold, so you can make money from the products while you’re working with the products to build your business! (Check each product for exactly what rights you get).

I am planning on relaunching my “4 Steps To Success” website, and am going to make Operation Black Box its own step - probably “Education.”  More about “4 Steps” in future blogs.  But for right now, check out Operation Black Box.  And you should strongly consider upgrading your membership, to get the ULTIMATE benefit from this unbelievable site.

So I’m strating 2008 by:
1. Setting concrete measurable goals (instead of “resolutions”)
2. Doing something EVERY DAY to advance my home based business
3. Digging into Operation Black Box and seeing how everything there fits into my program.  It’s really the kind of site you can get lost in, so keeping focus is real important.
