Today I took my daughters to the park. My older daughter pointed to a tree surrounded by nuts. “Look at all the nuts!” She said. “Well,” I said, “I guess the squirrels will come get them.”

“But there aren’t any squirrels living in this tree,” she replied. “How will they know to come here?”

“Let’s make a sign,” I suggested. “Dear Mr. Squirrel: This Way To The Nuts.”

“But Papa,” she said, “squirrels can’t read!”

This is probably the main reason most people who start internet businesses fail to make money: the inability to get their mesaage to their audience.
